Stuttgart – Following an extensive overhaul, the next generation of the Fuso Canter is all set to go. Fuso is the first manufacturer to bring a dual-clutch transmission for trucks onto the market. This together with extended service intervals, an increased payload capacity and a chassis design offering even easier body mounting makes the new Fuso Canter more economical than ever. The chassis on the 3.5t variant benefits from independent suspension at the front as well as the option of the Electronic Stability Program (ESP, on the 6S and 7C models). The driver's cab has been remodelled inside and out, and now offers even greater ease of use. Series production of the new Canter for Europe is due to commence at the Tramagal plant in Portugal in October.
